ONE TOUR — TWO WORLDS: Danube Canal & Viennese Grätzl

Katrin Kadletz, a certified tour guide for 15 years, was a bit sceptical when she did a SUPERTRAMPS tour in early 2017. But she was instantly moved: the insight into a homeless person’s life, existing right next to us, saddened her. At the same time these unique characters – knowledgeable and wise in the ways of the street – thoroughly impressed her. And so the tourism expert decided that this was how she could and would make a valuable contribution. SUPERTRAMPS put Katrin Kadletz in contact with Ferdinand, an experienced tour guide.

Now the duo’s tour runs along the hip Donaukanal and through the fashionable Servitenviertel, the home of the Bobo (‚bourgeoise Bohemiens‘). Katrin provides the historical and cultural background, while Ferdinand adds personal experiences from the world of the homeless. “It doesn’t always have to be an uplifting tour or one that brings you down. You can also combine the two — a tour that shows both worlds,” says tourism expert Katrin Kadletz about this unique SUPERTRAMPS tour.
